Wim Wenders awarded prestigious Praemium Imperiale

Today it was announced in Berlin that Wim Wenders, among others, is the recipient of the Praemium Imperiale in the category Theatre and Film. Awarded since 1989 in Japan, it is revered as the Nobel Peace Prize for the arts and awarded to laureates who are recognised for the great impact they make in the arts internationally and for their enrichment of the world community.
